SHMUP: Hidden Mushroom Ultra Portal

MILLION years in the future, Earth is nothing more than a lifeless land, exhausted by nuclear wars and overpollution. Humans are no more, but who they became, calling themself the Shmups, are still surviving, using their total control over genetic to slowly recreate artificial ecosystems.

BUT an evil force came from deep space : a mecanic race which long time ago annihilated their creators and began the quest of purging the galaxy of any form of life. The exhausted Earth won't stand long before being purified, but there is still a meager hope for Life to escape its tenacious enemy...

LONG before the machine's threat, one of the Shmups, the grand master of mushroom's genetic, went to space in a mushroom starship, saying it want to spread life across the stars. It said that if anyone want to follow it, it must plant a seed of mushroom starship and find the Hidden Mushroom Ultra Portal.

The MUSHROOM starship has been grown, and the whole gene pool of Earth, including both saves from before its fall and latter creations, has been loaded onboard. Machine's army is gathering in the sun's orbit, and there is few time left before their decisive assault. The last hope for Earth's life and genetic memory is to rush through this army and find a way to the Hidden Mushroom Ultra Portal.

YOU are the Shmup's creature, designed to pilot the mushroom starship through the machine's army. Your genes have been sharpened into reflex and determination, your ship is armed with the secret technology of the Mushroom's Master, and our last hope are in your hands.
